Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated care pedagogue for our daily operations according to LSS. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with guiding participants with autism and/or intellectual disabilities who need psychosocial support in their daily activities.

The work involves providing individually tailored support in various activities with a focus on participation, structure, and independence. We work with clarifying pedagogy to create a predictable and comprehensible environment and use motivational interviewing (MI) as an approach.

As a care pedagogue, you are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work in the organization and being a clear leader in pedagogical matters. You contribute to strengthening teamwork and ensure that the operations are conducted in accordance with the intentions of LSS within daily operations.

Your role includes ensuring that each participant receives individually tailored pedagogical support based on their needs. You also support employees in the work of establishing, following up, and evaluating implementation plans. Furthermore, you quality assure implementation plans, action plans, and other social documentation and are responsible for ensuring that decided methods and approaches are implemented and followed up.

You work systematically with planning and follow-up of users' support needs and activities as well as managing and following up deviations. You actively contribute to organizational development in dialogue with the section manager and participate in quality and development work related to the pedagogical assignment.

The assignment also includes continuously acquiring new knowledge and keeping updated on methods and approaches in accordance with science and proven experience within LSS.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (bachelor's degree) in behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
At least two years of documented experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
At least one year of experience working in LSS operations.
Good knowledge of mental health issues.
Knowledge of and ability to apply motivational interviewing (MI).
Ability to translate theory into practical work within low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and motivational interviewing.
Experience in group leadership and the ability to engage in pedagogical discussions based on individual needs and circumstances.
Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Strong ability to establish, follow up, and quality assure implementation plans, action plans, and other social documentation.

Meritorious:

Knowledge of harmful use and dependency issues.
